Lia Davis, Professional Counseling Intern

Lia (she/her) believes in providing a safe, and warm environment to explore your authentic self. Lia will empower you with skills to create positive outcomes and achieve your goals.

Lia is completed her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University.

She believes that all people are deserving of exploring their true authentic self, and places emphasis on how individuals can be impacted by the systems in place around them.

Lia grew up in Ithaca, NY and completed her B.A. in Philosophy at University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University, Genomics and Society Mentorship Program (2020) where she completed research on terminal disease in underserved communities.

Lia currently is self-employed as a horseback riding coach and horse trainer; she focuses on primarily adolescents and adults who have sustained traumatic injuries and bringing along green horses into their future careers as kind, forgiving, and competitive mounts for their riders. Lia also has a background in music media and journalism and has worked on PR teams to promote up and coming musicians, shows, and festivals.

 In her free time, Lia enjoys spending time with her horse, and competing as a strength athlete.
